Thank you for all your support.  If you have any questions or concerns, please send me an email.

    Have a great weekend!

    Hello Families,

I hope you had a great weekend.

Our class had good week and the students are getting used to changing classes.  Transition time has been a little rough and in time it should go more quickly and smoothly.  Please encourage your student to move quickly and quietly through the halls.  With around 130 students moving at one time it can get loud in the pod, even if they are just talking in a normal voice.

We will take the MAP test on Tuesday and Wednesday, @ 11:30.  If you are new to OTE, this test will provide a snapshot of where your student is academically. In the spring, when we test again, we will see their academic growth for the year. This test helps us see their strengths, areas where we may need support, and help students set goals for the year.  The results of the test will be shared with you during conferences.

Back to school night was last Thursday night.  Thanks to all the parents that could attend.  It was good to see you.  If you were not able to attend I have attached the PowerPoint that we shared.  Parents also had the opportunity to schedule a fall conference time and provide their student’s shirt size, (for the field trip T-shirt.)  Please let me know your student’s t-shirt size and if you have a preferred conference time.  There is one opening on Monday, October 23, @ 7:40 and four openings on October 25, @ 4:00, 4:20, 6:40 & 7:00. I am open most of the day on Thursday, October 26th. Please let me know if any of these times work.

    Highlights of the week include:

    • Viewing the eclipse
    • Starting our math and reading rotations
    • OTE Spirit Assembly

Thank you for your support. Please contact me through email if you have any questions or concerns.

    Have a great weekend.

    Adela
