Background:   I grew up in a family full of teachers and all different types of teachers. There were preschool, college, band, music, high school, math, and many more kinds of teachers.  I have known since I was in 4th grade that I wanted to be a teacher!  :)

Education/Teaching Experience: I grew up in Overland Park and attended the Shawnee Mission Schools.  I graduated from Avila University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  I earned my master's degree from Avila University in May 2009 in teaching and learning. I also earned a master's degree in School Administration from Baker University in May 2015.  I have been teaching 4th grade at Overland Trail Elementary since 2007/2008 school year and prior to that I was a substitute teacher and worked at Blue Valley District Office for 10 years. I enjoy teaching 4th grade!

My Family: My husband and I live in Western Shawnee with our two sons.  Michael is 18 years old and will be a senior in high school.  Nicholas is 15 years old and will be in freshman this year! I'm sure you will be hearing many funny stories about my kids! We also have two dogs, one named Toby and Molly, three cats named Bella, Max, and Bentley (our one eyed cat), one turtle named Speedy,and several fish.  My house is an active one!

3.  Music - country, pop-rock and classical piano
4.  Movies - comedy!
5.  Interests - scrapbooking, reading, going to the beach and lake, and cheering on my kids playing sports
