Welcome to Naviance!

Naviance is a fully integrated platform designed to help raise student accountability and performance across a number of key indicators leading to increased engagement, improvements in academic performance and overall workplace and college readiness. It includes three dimensions that work together to create a powerful experience for students: Career Planning, College Planning and Success Planning.  Using the Career Planning tools, students can discover interests, research careers and link careers to post-secondary requirements.  Using the College Planning tools, students can research colleges and manage the college application process.  Using the Success Planning tools, students can keep track of the tasks they need to complete in order to accomplish their goals.   

We are implementing Naviance for the first time at Pleasant Ridge Middle School during the 2013-2014 school year.  Sixth graders will be introduced to Naviance and take a learning styles inventory outside of Naviance.  Seventh graders will be introduced to Naviance, complete a Career Key and explore careers with Road Trip Nation.  Eighth graders will investigate careers with Road Trip Nation, begin 4-year course planning and develop SMART Goals (Academic, Career, College, Personal/Social).  Each year students will build upon their college and career readiness goals and their personal information wll be carried forward to high school.
