I have had the honor of being the principal at Indian Valley Elementary since 2016. IVE is a very special place. The staff, students, and community work together to provide an amazing learning environment for all students. We believe that ALL students deserve opportunities to grow academically, behaviorally, and social-emotionally.  

Education has always been an important part of my life. Prior to becoming a principal, I held many different roles in schools, including administrative intern, reading specialist, 5th-grade classroom teacher, kindergarten classroom teacher, and junior high teacher. Being in five different districts, three states, and working with ten different grade levels, has provided me with a variety of experiences. I believe that through collaboration, dedication, and passion we can help all students reach their potential.

I have two children of my own, Reid and Taylor, who have now graduated high school. I truly enjoy watching them grow into unique individuals. My other interests include reading, traveling, exploring KC sights, spending time with friends and family as well as watching KU basketball, Sporting KC, and the Chiefs.

I am looking forward to another fantastic year at Indian Valley!
