FALL SPORTS
All Fall Sports practices begin Monday, August 18th. All participants must have an approved BV Athletic Registration in order to participate. Football and Girls Volleyball are open to 8th grade students only. Cross Country and Cheerleading are open to 7th and 8th grade students. We hope to see many PRMS students out for these sports. Clubs will begin meeting throughout the month of August. Listen to the school announcements for more information about club meeting dates and times.

BASKETBALL
Looking forward to exciting girls and boys' basketball seasons. We strongly encourage our basketball players to play a fall school sport. Please consider this. Girls' basketball season starts the second week of October through the first week of December. The boys' basketball starts in January and goes until the first week of March.
All physicals will need to be dated after May 1, 2024.

TRACK AND FIELD (7th/8th Grade)
Track and Field occurs after spring break. This is open to seventh and eighth graders. There are more to track and field then just running events. We have throwing and jumping events as well.

PHYSICAL EXAMINATION

Beginning with the 2025-26 school year, Blue Valley Schools will transition to a new platform, Bound, submitting physicals and required paperwork.
Students participating in athletics, dance, and/or cheerleading for the 25-26 school year will be required to upload a completed KSHSAA physical, dated after May 1, 2025, with a doctor’s signature, and complete all the necessary forms to be able to participate.
Students involved in activities that do not require a physical will still need to complete the other required forms to participate. Those activities include band, choir, theater and orchestra.

To complete the registration process, please visit the Pleasant Ridge Middle website and create your family account. We will not be accepting paper copies of the physical forms, you must create an account and upload the physical.
