How Do I Pay My Fees?
Registration fees are posted in ParentVUE, as well as the options for purchasing a yearbook or PTO membership.
Course fees vary depending on the electives your student has selected. These will be posted a few weeks after the first day of school.
Checks & Cash can also be turned into the front office. Contact our Bookkeeper, Cathy Harrelson, for more questions.

Late Arrivals & Early Dismissals
How do I drop my student off after the 7:51am bell has rung?
Students may be dropped off at the front entrance and will be buzzed in by office staff. They are able to sign themselves in and will receive a hall pass to get to class.
All absences are unexcused until a parent or guardian has informed office staff of the absence reason. This can be done in any of the following ways:
- Logging the absence on ParentVUE
- Leaving a voicemail on the Attendance line (913) 239-5105
- Emailing AttendanceBVM@bluevalleyk12.org
- Calling the front office (913) 239-5100
- Speaking to office staff in person
I need to pick my student up before 3pm
Parents and guardians are encouraged to call ahead of time to tell office staff what time they would like their student picked up. You are welcome to wait inside the office or outside the building, but all visitors MUST show a photo ID in our video doorbell before students can be dismissed from the building. Your student can be released to anyone you have listed on their Emergency Contact list, including older siblings with driver's licenses.
To best update our records, we may ask you the following questions:
- What time is the student leaving?
- Will they be returning?
- What is the reason for pick up?
- Who is picking up?
You may inform the office off early dismissals in any of the following ways:
- Logging the absence on ParentVUE
- Leaving a voicemail on the Attendance line (913) 239-5105
- Emailing AttendanceBVM@bluevalleyk12.org
- Calling the front office (913) 239-5100
- Speaking to office staff in person

I Need to Drop Off an Item or Get a Message to My Student
An item drop-off cart is available directly inside the front office. Visitors will need a photo ID to be buzzed into the building. For more information, you can view our Forgotten Item Policy
Messages will be delivered to students when front office staff are available to do so. Notices about pick-up or departure from school are typically provided at the end of the day
If there is an emergency, please let the office staff know so that we can better accommodate urgency.

How do I add money to my student's lunch account?
Blue Valley uses a system called LINQ to digitally manage money in your student’s lunch account. Your student’s account will follow them from one school to another. You will need to create an account and access it via the web or download the app on your phone.
Students may take cash or check to the lunch room during breakfast or during their lunch period. The front office cannot assist with lunch money, it must go straight to our kitchen staff.
Can my student(s) still get lunch if there are no funds or a negative balance on their account?
Yes! Students are always able to receive a full and nutritious meal from our kitchen. All they need to do is ensure they are creating a Type A Lunch Tray . Individual items are charged via their A la Carte prices, so it is most cost-effective to build a full tray. Please note that all negative balances must be paid by the end of the school year.

How Do I Check My Student's Grades?
Grades for individual assignments and tests can be found on Canvas. You can look at each class for a list of upcoming homework, quizzes, and tests that will or have received a grade.
Canvas is the system used for student access to classes, assignments, individual grades, and teacher messages. Your student must grant you access to their Canvas account for you to see their information.
Report cards are posted to ParentVue at the end of each quarter.
