LITERACY

Blue Valley School Librarians foster a culture of literacy through the curation and promotion of diverse and vibrant collections. Librarians encourage creativity, critical thinking, and exploration to make connections to curricular goals.

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE

Flexible scheduling ensures students have access to the expertise of the librarian, the facility and its resources at the point of need. The responsibility for flexibility scheduled library programs must be shared by the entire school community. The Board of Education, District Administration, Principals, School Librarian, Teachers, and the Library Support Staff.

COLLABORATION

Certified Blue Valley Librarians partner with educators to design and implement evidence-based curriculum and assessments that integrate elements of deeper learning, critical thinking, informational literacy, digital citizenship, creativity, innovation, and the active use of technology (Future Ready 2018).
